Mord has trended towards a contemplative and more minimal side of his versatile technology-driven lexicon in recent years, and on his most recent outing, NATURE OVER FORM, micro moments of life exhibit long-familiar progressions, this time cast through a prism ripe with emotion. Inspired by the filmic soundtracks of the city, the distinctive melodies still emit color through both the usual grooves, of which there is no escaping, and the soothing ventures into dreamy unmapped landscapes that seemingly inhabit almost the majority of the play time of the 30-minute journey.
